Nothing Says Welcome Home Like ...

I saw the smiling faces of my husband and sons through the large plate glass window of the airport. They ran to greet me with hugs and "I MISSED YOU"s.

I walked in the door of my house to a "Welcome Home Banner" and THREE bouquets of balloons and MORE flowers.

I laid my sore, achey body on the couch to rest after the journey thrilled to be surrounded by those I love best.

My sons. My husband. My dogs.

Oh my dogs.

Trippy leaped over to the couch to greet me, scurrying up to my face to cover me in kisses.

AND THEN PEED ON MY HEAD.

Yes, you read that right, in the midst of his excitement to greet me, he peed. ON. MY. HEAD.

Three entire minutes after I got home. Three Minutes. Someone forgot to grow a brain while I was gone.

So good to be welcomed home with a shower of love and affection. Not so nice to have the shower of the other type. Glad you are there safe and sound. Rest well!

Okay, I am not a laugh out loud person and I laughed so loud I shocked myself, lol. What a great homecoming. At least you know it IS HOME and nothing has changed. :0)

Maybe it was an attempt to relate on a kidney level? :) Really glad to hear that you're home and with such a good prognosis. Hope you can be patient and gentle with yourself as you recover -- it is surprising how long it takes! Will be thinking of you.

Still chuckling over that one. I mean you couldn't have planned it any funnier! Oh my gosh.

Wow. I hope you laughed, then again, that may hurt.

Oh Jen, so glad you're on your way to recovery.
